Based on biblical and psychological principles, Sozo Therapeuo manuals are an important mental health tool for faith communities. The manuals serve as a guide and reference for all those within a church setting, who may encounter someone experiencing mental health distress.
Designed to build teams, empower through information and increase self-awareness and confidence through upskilling, the manuals provide relevant and practical information for a range of common interpersonal and team challenges.
The manuals can be used in conjunction with Sozo Therapeuo training sessions or as a standalone resource. The manuals are comprehensively written, interactive with exercises and reflection points throughout.

Sozo Therapeuo has produced a Directory of qualified Therapists (counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists), from faith backgrounds.
Simply select a counsellor from the Directory and self-refer by contacting the therapist directly. Pastors, team leaders or family members can also refer with the person’s consent. Fees are set by individual therapists. (Please note the Directory currently has London-wide coverage only).

Representatives from church-based counselling services are invited to meet on a quarterly basis confidentially to discuss key issues, receive peer support, share resources, good practice and training. The Forum will facilitate joint events and host meetings between churches and mental health services. The aim of this initiative is: to provide a network of support, to reduce counsellors/services working in isolation, to create a referral network and to ensure all counselling services are operating at the required ethical standards.

Sozo Therapeuo provides Clinical supervision and pastoral support to church leaders on an individual or group basis. Supervision provides a confidential, supportive space for leaders to discuss concerns and issues relating to their work with congregants and colleagues. Sessions are monthly and are 1-2 hours in duration depending on number of supervisees.
